In celebration of the International Day of Forests (IDF) this year, the Provincial Natural Resources and Environment Office (PNREO) and Provincial Governor’s Office-Special Projects (PGO-SP) jointly conducted a Tree Nurturing Activity this Monday morning.

For. Estrella A. Passion, OIC-PNREO and PGO-SP Coordinator led the employees in soil cultivation, ring weeding, pruning and mulching around the tree seedlings.

The United Nations General Assembly proclaimed March 21 as the IDF in 2012 to celebrate and raise awareness of the importance of all types of forests.
